Uh-oh spaghettio.

I feel uninspired at the moment. I haven’t touched any of my craft tools or supplies since I made 'take a hike'!!

It’s probably because the weather is getting warmer and I really don’t feel like making cards in my small craft/steam room. I’ve also been busy helping my husband with his film projects. And I’ve been obsessed with Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, Real Housewives and every other reality show. Auction Hunters, So You Think You Can Dance, Glee Project, man…I watch a lot of tv!!!

Okay, I need to switch gears, fast.

My mom asked me to make her a card for a wedding we’re going to this Saturday. She asked me a few weeks ago so I really have no excuse! I already have the special pieces and have made up in my mind how I’d like to arrange the pieces together. I just need to get off my butt and start crafting! I also have 3 more cards to do. I promised my sister-in-law that I’d make her a super special birthday card for her rock star fiancĂ©. And one of my ‘preferred customers’ placed an order for two birthday cards - all due within the next two week.

Need to stop procrastinating!

I’ll start tomorrow.

Card No. 106

{take a hike}

{designed by extraonions}
~Customer wanted a birthday card for her nephew. She mentioned that he's quite 'outdoor-sy' and loves camping. I'll be giving her the card tomorrow so fingers crossed that she is happy with it. Personally, I like it but I'm not sure if it's too 'simple'. It didn't take me too long to make it so I'm nervous that perhaps I should have put in more thought? We shall see!

Christmas in July

I made my first Christmas card today, though, I'm not 100% happy with it. Cry, cry. It's so cute too but I messed up with the glue. I'll hold onto it, maybe I can fix it later.

So today is official. I've decided to get a head start on some holiday designs so that I'll have a lot by November. My plan is to let my 'preferred customers' know that I will not be taking custom orders for Christmas but will have a ready-made selection for them to choose from. That way it will be easy-peasy and stress-free.

My new goal is to make 100 variety of Christmas or holiday cards by mid-November. A little bit ambitious maybe but I think I can do it. I haven't decided yet if I want to post my Christmas cards as I make them or wait until November to post all of them. Errrr, that's going to be a lot of work. Decisions, decisions!

Congratulations to me!

I’m here, still kicking!

I haven’t uploaded the photos yet, but I have already reached my goal! 100 cards and it’s only July!

I’ve been making a few custom cards lately. The week before Mother’s Day, I brought my collection to work and since then, have acquired a few ‘Preferred Customers’. Awesome.

Most of the cards I’ve been making have been requests. If you click on the label 'custom order', you'll see what I've created for my friends and family. So far, I have only received positive feedback. Though, I remember showing somebody a card I made for someone else and she didn't like it. That made me nervous. But as soon as I gave the card to the person who placed the order, my insecurities disappeared. She was so happy!! Extremely happy!! Phew.

When I have time, I’d like to go back to my posts and write a brief description on those cards requested by my customers. I think it will be neat to see what I came up with based on their requests. A bit vain? Yessireeee!!! I’m a Leo, it is expected :D

So I have one custom card due next week and another in August. Which is good because I'd like to start making Christmas cards! Yikes.

Anyway, before I end this post. Just want to thank my husband again for his help. Thank you for taking those lovely pictures so late in the evening....(even though sometimes they are not centred.....kidding.....)

100 cards!

Wow.  I'm good.....

okay I'll stop now.
